“ All creations are ideas. Every object is a way of defining its creator and his surrounding world ”.
After receiving a university grant after his A levels, he momentarily moved away from the art world to study History and Ethnology at the University of Paris 10. This two-year experience allowed him to acquire the tools and ability needed to formulate, control and develop his own field of investigation.
Since 1998, he has been involved in diverse projects (illustrations, costumes for the Opera, exhibitions with Action Art) and has led his own projects.
2006 - First exhibition: Installation “A ticket to Hell". Project mounted with the support of “The Young Creators" from the Saint Cloud Arts Centre. Many mediums (painting, photography, graphics and video montage) were used in order to highlight the different techniques.
In November, "Month of the Photo in Paris", the collection Portrait Statistique, questions the portrait and the representation of the image; mans mask and mirror.
Jasmin Derome's artwork is currently exhibited at the Saint Cloud Arts Centre.
